This tour starts at 11 am at your hotel. A coach will bring you via the villa area Weisser Hirsch (White Deer) to Luisenhof. This Panorama Restaurant was opened in 1895 and is well known for its Saxon cuisine and phantastic panorama view over Dresden and the Elbe valley. After Lunch a brief ride with the historic Funicular also from 1895 brings you downhill to Körnerplatz which is an example of 19th century architecture. Stroll along the former village center of Loschwitz with the house of Friedrich Wieck, stepfather of Robert Schumann, and tiny boutiques and galleries before continuing by coach to the suburb Hosterwitz. The composer and conductor Carl Maria von Weber spent his summers in a typical winemaker’s house. Immerse yourself in the spirit of this unique place from the early 19th century and enjoy a private piano recital of Weber’s and other Dresden composer’s music – accompanied by coffee and cake. “Hausmusik” as it was usual in the bourgeois households of the 19th century. A short ride brings you to the entrance of nearby Pillnitz Palace. Discover the summer residence of the Saxon Kings – the most extended example of Chinois architecture in the world. The French and English styled gardens offer more surprises With a short walk you reach Pillnitz pier. Before entering the boat you might step in briefly Wippler’s bakery and might buy his famous “Winemaker’s Bread”. A Historic paddle steamer of the oldest and biggest existing paddle steamer fleet in the world brings you back to Dresden, passing by villas, vineyards, churches and castles arriving at 6 pm at Dresden City center..
