Trip Itinerary

DAY #1 - Occidental, CA United States Farmhouse Inn
Your guides will pick you up in San Francisco and whisk you north to redwood country. Start your ride in Occidental, once a boomtown when the railroad passed through in the early days of California. Coast toward Guerneville and visit the redwood reserve. Finish your first ride with a stop at our favorite winery in the area. Tour their gravity-driven facility and taste fresh Pinot before moving on to the Farmhouse Inn, your home for the next two nights. Once you arrive, you simply won’t want to leave. Lay by the pool, soak in the tub, roast s’mores over the campfire, or enjoy your private balcony. This evening, we’ll dine at Farmhouse Inn’s Michelin-starred restaurant.

Accomplished: 25 miles / 41 km, elevation gain: 741 feet / 226 meters
DAY #2 - Geyserville, CA United States Farmhouse Inn
Today’s ride brings us through the best of Sonoma’s wine country. Begin your spin through the famed Russian River Valley, into the rolling hills of Dry Creek. After a quick stop in Geyserville, you’ll pedal into the gorgeous Alexander Valley where the strong sun and open fields cultivate beautiful Cabernets and Chardonnays. Enjoy an outdoor lunch at Dry Creek General Store, then join us for a wine tasting at Lambert Bridge, Dry Creek’s premier producer of Bordeaux varietals. Choose to bike back to Farmhouse Inn, or take a lift. Tonight, we’ll return to Healdsburg for a fabulous dinner.

Accomplished: 31 miles / 49 km, elevation gain: 1,535 feet / 468 meters

Longer Option: 47 miles / 77 km, elevation gain: 2,398 feet / 731 meters
DAY #3 - Calistoga, CA United States Auberge du Soleil
Today, we say goodbye to Sonoma, but not before seeing it at its finest. Explore verdant Knights Valley and Chalk Hill. Stop for a quick coffee in Calistoga, a funky town known for restorative hot springs, before we continue into the heart of Napa. Pedal the famous Silverado Trail before slowly descending into Napa’s unforgettable valley and back up to your hotel, the inimitable Auberge du Soleil. Relax at the pool, pamper yourself with a massage, or soak in the views of the valley. Tonight, we’ll bring you to Yountville to enjoy dinner at a restaurant of your choice.

Accomplished: 32 miles / 52 km, elevation gain: 1,781 feet / 543 meters

Longer Option: 46 miles / 73 km, elevation gain: 2,522 feet / 769 meters
DAY #4 - Pope Valley, CA United States Auberge du Soleil
Awake from your perch above the valley to the mists of Napa settling below and hot air balloons peacefully floating above. Enjoy a cappuccino and exquisite breakfast on Auberge’s famous patio before taking off on bike. Warm up on Napa’s quiet lanes before beginning our gentle climb into Pope Valley, Napa’s lesser-known sister. This afternoon you can choose your own adventure: take a challenging ride over Ink Grade and back to the valley, or opt for an easier ride through Chiles Valley. We’ll meet again for a casual lunch at our favorite bike-themed tasting room, Velo Vino. In the afternoon, relax at Auberge du Soleil or join us to taste at one of Napa’s most exclusive wineries. On our final evening together, we’ll raise our glass of cab to California as we enjoy the delectable cuisine of Auberge du Soleil’s Michelin-starred restaurant.

Accomplished: 30 miles / 48 km, elevation gain: 1,804 feet / 550 meters

Longer Option: 38 miles / 61 km, elevation gain: 3,054 feet / 931 meters
DAY #5 - San Francisco, CA United States
Relax, sleep in, or enjoy one last loop through Napa. After checkout, we’ll bring you back to San Francisco, or wherever your trip takes you next.

Optional Ride: 29 miles / 47 km, elevation gain: 2,611 feet / 796 meters
