DAY #1 - Kalahari Desert, Botswana
Upon arrival at Kalahari Plains Lodge from Maun Airport with Wilderness Air charter flight, the Kalahari Desert is the largest unbroken stretch of sand in the world. Arrival in camp with Wilderness Air plane is the most spectacular introduction to the desert.
Kalahari Plains Lodge consists of eight units, each include a sleep-out rooftop platform for the more adventurous clients. DAY #2 - Kalahari Desert, Botswana
At the core of the Kalahari Desert is the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, a vast flat expanse of scrub-covered fossil dunes interspersed with ancient river valleys. This has been the home of the San Bushmen for thousands of years. Your family will get to experience the traditional San Bushman culture in an authentic manner. Join them on an interpretative guided walk where children and adults learn about a different way of life and the harsh realities that face them

DAY #3 - Kalahari Desert, Botswana
The Kalahari Desert is known for its legendary black maned lions, one of the best cheetah densities in Africa, as well as unique and unusual creatures like honey badger, bat eared fox, jackal and brown hyena, oryx, wildebeest and Springbok. Game drives unlock the wildlife treasures of the desert.
DAY #4 - Maun, Botswana
Day four of our family itinerary takes us via Maun, with Wilderness Air, to Seba in the Okavango Delta, a World Heritage Site and one of the most incredible wildlife sanctuaries in Africa.
Seba Lodge is set in a riverine forest and overlooks a
perennial lagoon which has resident buffalo and hippo pods. Seba has excellent
game-viewing with the added bonus of a seasonal hyena den close to the lodge.
Guests are sometimes fortunate enough to spot hyena cubs; both exceptionally
cute and “stinky”!
DAY #5 - Okavango Delta, Botswana
Seba Camp is ideal for families. Expert guides specialise in children’s activities. Regardless of the age or personal taste of the children, the kaleidoscopic spectrum of activities on offer is guaranteed to ensure the safari is enjoyed by all. From tracking spoor around camp, making plaster casts, catch and release fishing, baking animal cookies with the chef. Also ob offer is learning how to make traditional crafts, painting with natural pigments from berries and roots, identifying various water insects, frogs and birds and fun pool activities will fill their day.
DAY #6 - Okavango Delta, Botswana
Seba Lodge is quintessentially Delta with diverse activities year round: land-based in summer and water-based in winter). Family activities also include day and night game drives, nature walks, (depending on qualified guide availability) mokoro rides, boating and fishing
DAY #7 - Linyanti, Botswana
We head north to the Linyanti Concession and Savuti Camp which is set deep in the wilderness on the productive and fascinating Savuti Channel. The waters of the Savuti come and go, resulting in either good concentrations of game in search of water or a rich feeding ground and corridor between the surrounding mopane woodlands for both plains game and predators. Savuti Camp has exciting front row seats to this natural marvel. Watch wildlife adapting to changing conditions, with both its opportunities and threats.
DAY #8 - Linyanti, Botswana
Savuti has seven canvas and thatch tents and main area that extend outwards on raised decks, facing the Savuti Channel. Day or night game drives, nature walks and boating are all exciting game viewing opportunities. A sleep out in one of the two nearby Star Beds will make this last night in the Linyanti the perfect end to this family journey.
DAY #9 - Linyanti, Botswana
On your last morning, spend time in the log pile hide or the sunken hide which provide unique settings to watch wildlife at the water’s edge. In the sunken hide, water is at eye level, and game come to drink almost within touching distance while you are safely inside!
Depart Savuti Camp with Wilderness Air to Maun Airport for onward travel arrangements.
