Top Restaurants

Dante

DANTE is “Brasa y Fuego”, “Fire and Coal”. These elements drive our kitchen, and keep our food honest and savory. From our Peanut Butter and Chocolate Brownie, to our Hearts of Lettuce, and each of our finest cuts, or catch of the day, nothing gets past our charcoal oven grill broiler. Chef Dante Ferrero’s passion is quality and taste.

Animal

Animal is an outstanding spot, which has experienced the honor of receiving the Six Star Diamond Award in 2021. Such an event has marked a unique milestone in Mexico. They are the first restaurant group and international level culinary concept in the country, according to the AAHS.

Rosa Negra

Rosa Negra has quickly become one of the most successful high-end restaurant chains in all of Mexico.  The ambiance and unique fusion style menu has put it in the top 25 restaurants on Masaryk.

Parole

The world’s most glamourous cabaret comes to Mykonos with  interactive entertainment, Mediterranean cuisine and late night lounging to its brand-new dining in the Tria Pigadia area of Mykonos Town.

Helena

Helena brings a unique Mexican fusion touch combined with signature cocktails and a ambiance perfect for a night out with friends.

BELUGA

One of our favorites, Beluga stands out as one of the best restaurants on Masaryk.  From their signature cocktails, to the raw bar, and their selection of high quality cuts, it’s the perfect restaurant for date night, or to start your night out with friends.

CONTRAMAR

The artsy-upper crust of the La Condesa neighborhood, hangers-on following the scene, businessmen on lengthy lunches, and a smattering of tourists fill out the dining room at Contramar. You’ll fully understand why lunch is the most important—and longest—meal of the day in Mexico City when you come here: By 2 P.M. on Fridays, the brandy and rosé start flowing and a casual meal turns into multiple rounds of food and drink, smoke breaks on the sidewalk, an overall celebration to kick off the weekend.

PUJOL

Chef Enrique Olvera is doing something special in this restaurant and has been for a long time. Pujol is not only an icon for Mexico City but frequently rated the best restaurant in all of Mexico. It’s a journey through indigenous ingredients, an ode to corn, and one place you’ll want to reserve far in advance. The menu here is a multiple-course tasting menu.

Quintonil

With just a handful of staples and a rotating seasonal menu, you know what you get at Quintonil will be top-notch Mexican food. There are a few twists to the classics, such as a glazed pork chop served with Oaxacan segueza (corn mole) and apple pico de gallo, or tamales stuffed with duck meat and topped with black chichilo mole. If ordering off the seasonal menu, it’s best to split it with the whole table – you’ll have almost a dozen dishes to share between you. The restaurant’s wine list is also extensive, offering bottles from Argentina, France, Slovakia and others.

Porfirio’s

Named after former Mexican president Porfirio Díaz, Porfirio’s focuses on quality Mexican food. The best dishes here are shared. Try the chamorro cantinero, pork shank marinated in adobe and roasted for eight hours and served with black beans and purslane (also known as duckweed). There’s also the barbacoa de res, beef barbacoa cooked for up to 12 hours in maguey leaves and served in tacos with onion, cilantro and lime. Save room for desserts you can’t find anywhere else in the city, including the Jalisco-style jericalla, a flan-like sweet topped with vanilla ice cream, slightly runny sweet cream and a crunchy buñuelo (fried dough fritter).

PUBBELLY

One of the better sushi places in Polanco, Pubbelly has very quality fish and unique rolls, appetizers, and non-seafood options that leave your mouth watering with flavor.  The signature drinks are well crafted and the ambiance on the weekends if alive.

Top Rooftops

Supra

Supra is one of Mexico City’s best rooftop lounges you can find.  It has unparalleled 360 degree views of the city resting on top of one of Roma’s tallest buildings.  With some of the best music you can find in Mexico City, there is always a vibe.

Toledo

Perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, this is the most legendary of Mykonos’ out-of-town clubs. Its huge open-air dancefloor heaves with revelers from the wee hours of the morning, when action in Mykonos Town winds down, until dawn. Nightly DJ sets attract international talent such as Oliver Heldens, Nicky Romero and Ingrosso. Advanced bookings highly recommended. Shuttles to/from Mykonos Town.

Terraza Cha Cha Cha

Elegant, chic, great food and drinks, plus fantastic views over the the Revolution Monument. Terraza Cha Cha Chá rooftop bar and restaurant has pretty much all one can wish for. Up here you can enjoy tasty Mexican dishes with an international touch, crafted cocktails and a wide variety of Mexican beer. Open from around noon to late at night, this is a fantastic spot for both a long and relaxing lunch, as well as for late night gatherings when the atmosphere really gets going.

El Mayor

A lovely rooftop restaurant and bar, set on top of the traditional publishing house, just a block away from the Mexico Zócalo. A great spot for mixing tasty Mexican food with fantastic views over the Templo Mayor. While historical in location, the spacious terrace is contemporary in design and setting. The kitchen at El Mayor offers classic Mexican food with a contemporary touch, and from the rooftop bar you can order everything from cold beer and classic cocktails to premium spirits and lemonade.

Balmari Roofbar

A modern rooftop bar with an international vibe, a mix that is otherwise quite hard to find in Mexico City. Located in the hip area Roma Norte, the green and lush terrace at Balmori offers a trendy oasis for food and drinks, above the bustling streets below. Enjoy craft cocktails that are both fun, original and rich, along with Mexican wine, a large range of beer and an international and urban food menu with Mexican touches.

Terraza Catedral

It’s part of a hostel, so you may not think much of this rooftop bar downtown. But just wait and see – Terraza Catedral in the centro histórico is just across the street from the Metropolitan Cathedral, the biggest and oldest cathedral in Latin America. Beyond the views, it’s also party central: DJs switch from spinning US hip-hop, Latin rock and European dance with ease, and beers flow all night. One word of caution: some events require a ticket in advance and frequently sell out. Check before you go.

Nivel 40 SkyBar

First off, Nivel 40 SkyBar really does have the wow factor! Located on the 40th floor of the Torre Latinoamericana – one of Mexico City’s most recognizable landmarks – this bar offers some of the best views in the whole city.

The lighting inside is superb, and large floor-to-ceiling windows give you unobstructed views of the Zócalo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Palacio de Bellas Artes.

On a clear day, you can see the entire city from up here, with a 360-degree view that’s simply world class. It’s especially amazing at sunset, when you can watch the sun set behind the volcanoes that surround CDMX.

Area Bar

The best rooftop bar in Polanco is Area Bar on Avenida Presidente Masaryk.

The décor is sleek and modern, with plenty of glass and subtle, elegant lighting. They have a number of comfortable sofas, lounge chairs and tables. In the evenings, these are decorated with candles creating an intimate and romantic ambience.

This is a quiet, refined place to come for a drink. It has spectacular views over the Mexico City skyline, and is both partially covered and partially open to the elements, meaning you can enjoy a drink here whatever the weather. For colder evenings, there’s a long open fireplace which creates a snug and cozy place to settle in with your favorite tipple.

They also offer a good selection of food, including excellent tapas and sharing plates. It’s also surprisingly affordable, which isn’t always the case in Polanco.
