DAY #1 - Nairobi, Kenya - Giraffe Manor

DAY #2 - Laikipia, Kenya - Ol Pejeta Bush Camp
After your breakfast with the giraffes, transfer to the Laikipia equatorial region, one of the last refuges for the rare Black and White Rhinos. Your accommodations are the interactive and eco-friendly Ol Pejeta Bush Camp, an exclusive tented camp is owned and managed by Alex Hunter, who is especially passionate about opening up the safari world to young and inquiring minds.
DAY #3 - Laikipia, Kenya - Ol Pejeta Bush Camp
Set out on game drives, bush walks, and behind-the-scenes tours with Alex and his experienced guides through the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a Big Five playground and sanctuary where endangered species like the Jackson’s Hartebeest, Grevy’s Zebra, cheetah, chimpanzee, and rhino are protected around the clock. Three of the world’s remaining five Northern White Rhinos make their home here. There is an enormous amount of wildlife and game throughout the Ewaso Nyiro River ecosystem.
DAY #4 -Samburu National Reserve, Kenya - Saruni Samburu
Continue on to your next Kenya family safari destination, where your family cottage awaits at Saruni Samburu, a stylish and intimate safari lodge within a 240,000 acre private wildlife conservancy just north of Samburu National Reserve. From your eco-chic, open-air cottage at the top of the Kalama Mountains, you will have spectacular views of northern Kenya and the multiple wildlife magnet waterholes below.
DAY #5 -Samburu National Reserve, Kenya - Saruni Samburu
This is a quiet luxury family safari experience off the beaten path, where game activities, village visits, and excursions to painted caves are all on the agenda. At the heart of Saruni Samburu is the main lodge, where two large infinity swimming pools overlook multiple waterholes that are frequented by a variety of wildlife, including the famous Samburu Elephant. There is also an onsite Samburu Wellbeing space where guests can indulge in massage and beauty treatments at the hands of Italian-trained specialists between safari activities.
DAY #6 -Samburu National Reserve, Kenya - Saruni Samburu
Saruni Samburu stands as the only accommodation in the Samburu National Reserve wilderness. Game drives and bush walks are therefore completely private, led by professional Samburu guides into the reserve, as well as the nearby Buffalo Springs National Reserve, West Gate Conservancy, and Kalama area. Guides are well-versed in the local bird species and flora and will delight in sharing their knowledge with avid bird watchers and nature lovers.
DAY #7 - Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya - Mara House
The final stop on your Kenya family safari is within the famed Masai Mara, one of Africa’s most famous and game rich areas. Mara House will act as your private bush home during your stay, allowing for a fully-catered, customizable, and relaxing schedules for soaking in the wildlife just outside the front door. Mara House is located within the secluded hills of Lemek within the Mara North Conservancy and offers three generations of regional knowledge to impart onto guests of all ages.
DAY #8- Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya - Mara House
Don’t be surprised if breakfast this morning is an entire family affair, with generations of zebra, elephant, giraffe, impala, baboons, and warthog congregating at the Ol Chorro waterhole nearby. Venturing beyond the house, day and night game drives are led by private guides whose contagious passion for the region is sure to rub off on any guest, young or old. A sense of wonder and imagination is sure to be ignited as you learn bush-wise facts, traditional games, local folklore tales, and incredible stories of life in the bush.
DAY #9- Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya - Mara House
Activities at Mara House are appropriate for all ages and interests. Day and night game drives take place primarily in the conservancies of Mara North, Ol Chorro, and Lemek—a game-rich expanse of about 100,000 acres offering prime viewing of leopard, lion, wildebeest, hyena, and much more. Excursions to the Mara Game Reserve and local villages are also possible.
DAY #10- Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya - Mara House
Fully-catered and equipped with its own set of dedicated staff and professional guides, the exclusivity of Mara House enables guests to enjoy the private seclusion of the Mara while having the flexibility and freedom to personally design their menu and safari itineraries to fit their preferences.

We had an excellent experience with Olivia as our travel agent. She took the time to talk to us before booking to get an idea of our wants and needs. We did several countries and numerous cities on our trip; Olivia got it exactly right at every location! Every hotel, excursion and travel experience was exactly to our liking with above and beyond service and accommodations. We also ran into numerous barriers/changes with COVID19 while on our trip. Olivia kept an eye on restrictions for each location we were in, adjusted our trip/hotel/flights as needed in a way that felt effortless to us, but I'm sure was so much work on her end. We would book with her again and highly recommend her as personable, knowledgeable and hardworking.

The entire trip, once it happened (thanks to several reschedules) was very organized and thought through. When the original Galapagos operator cancelled late in the game, Ker & Downey quickly found us an alternative.
