A sailing experience in Table Bay with lunch and wine included. Spend a morning or afternoon sailing in Table Bay on a 40ft sailboat and playing around on jet ski’s. Enjoy unrivalled views of Table Mountain and the city bowl. Learn how to sail as your skipper steers you out to Robben Island and back to the coast where you will have a barbecue off the side of the boat while you play around on jet ski’s. What to expect: You’ll meet your skipper for a safety briefing at the docks of the V&A Harbour where you begin your sailing adventure. Once briefed, you will board the boat and you motor your way out of the harbour and into Table Bay. This is where you can get involved and assist with unfurling the sail and you will get your journey underway in earnest. Now you will sail to just off the coast of Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent so many years in prison. Learn about the history of the Cape as you sail back to the mainland and soak in the views of the magnificent Table Mountain. Once you are close enough to the mainland you’ll drop anchor, fire up the barbecue and open the wine. Learn how to sabrage a bottle of Methode Cap Classique, South Africa’s sparkling wine made in the Champagne method and enjoy other local wines and beers. While your food is being prepared on the barbecue your jet ski’s will be delivered to the boat for you. You can play around in the waves before you head back to your boat for lunch. Once you’ve had your fill you’ll motor your way back to the harbour to disembark and make your way back to your hotel. *Optional Add-ons: crayfish braai, Stand Up Paddle boards (SUP’s), top shelf liquor, cigars, tactical sailing lessons, motor rib ride back to shore.
