DAY #1 -Arusha, Tanzania - Arusha Coffee Lodge

Begin your Tanzania private safari in Arusha for an evening at the Arusha Coffee Lodge. Situated on a working coffee plantation of considerable size, the Lodge has 21 private chalets built on raised wooden platforms. Indulge in fresh coffee and activities around the plantation before continuing on.
DAY #2 - Tarangire National Park, Tanzania - Oliver's Camp
Your Tanzania private safari begins at Oliver’s Camp in the Tarangire National Park. The camp has views towards Ngorongoro, the Great Rift Valley, and Lake Manyara, making it an excellent location for learning about the delicate ecosystem of the park while enjoying the breathtaking beauty found in Tanzania. Oliver’s Camp comprises 10 beautiful tents featuring solid wood furnishings and wonderful décor. The tents each have en suite bathrooms with flush toilets and open-air showers from which to enjoy the stunning Tarangire sky.
DAY #3 - Tarangire National Park, Tanzania - Oliver's Camp
In addition to game drives with expert naturalists, Oliver’s Camp is most well known for its walking safaris. For many years, walking was not allowed in Tarangire, but the camp has taken full advantage of the park authorities’ decision to allow excursions on foot. Your guide and ranger will assure that you will be very safe as the point of a walking safari is not to disturb the animals, but to be able to observe their natural behavior.
DAY #4 - Lake Manyara, Tanzania Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania - Gibb's Farm
Next, transfer to Lake Manyara for lunch and a Tanzania private safari game drive through the national park before arriving at Gibb’s Farm, perched on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater.
DAY #5 - Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania - Gibb's Farm
Convenient to both Lake Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, Gibb’s Farm provides a number of safari options for excellent game viewing and bird watching. Horseback riding, walking safaris, cycling, and game drives yield sightings of cheetah, lion, wildebeest, and other big game of the Ngorongoro Crater. DAY #6 - Serengeti National Park, Tanzania - Sayari Camp
The famed Serengeti is next on your private safari. Spend the next three nights in Sayari Camp, located near the Mara River in Serengeti National Park. Year round the concentration of wildlife is astounding, but because of its position near the Mara River, it becomes even more heavily populated during the Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest and zebra cross back and forth across the river. Sayari Camp comprises 15 tents in two wings, each with separate dining areas to ensure personal service and quiet, intimate comfort. Each spacious tent has a private veranda, and the en suite bathrooms are fully equipped with modern amenities, including an outdoor shower.
DAY #7 - Serengeti National Park, Tanzania - Sayari Camp
Craft your own safari experiences at Sayari Camp. The camp’s remoteness allows for excellent game viewing amid beautiful wilderness, far from any other tourists. Enjoy off and on road driving, bird watching, and the hippo and crocodile population of the river.
DAY #8 - Serengeti National Park, Tanzania - Sayari Camp
During your midday game viewing break, you can enjoy the marvelous vistas from your private veranda or take a dip in the stunning infinity pool. In the evenings, gather around the fireplace or in the lounge and discuss the day’s activities with the guests while enjoying delicious meals infused with European and authentic African elements.
DAY #9 - Zanzibar, Tanzania - Matemwe
Soak up the sun and sand of Zanzibar during the final days of your Tanzania private safari. Matemwe Main Lodge, located on the main island of Unguja, is perfect for discovering the amazing waters of the Indian Ocean and the culture of Zanzibar. Find 12 bungalows, each built from local materials and surrounded by a lush garden. Enjoy a private veranda overlooking the Indian Ocean and large en suite bathrooms at your beach getaway.
DAY #10 - Zanzibar, Tanzania - Matemwe
This is the place to enjoy a quiet beach holiday. Snorkeling, diving, and kayaking, are all possible outings to experience at your leisure. Matemwe Lodge can easily arrange ocean trips in motor or sail boats with snorkeling equipment, or guests can simply snorkel straight from the beach or during a reef walk. Discover the little island of Mnemba Atoll and the amazing coral reefs. You will be surprised by the incredible diversity of marine life, from corals and anemone to playful dolphins.
DAY #11 - Zanzibar, Tanzania - Matemwe
For those that want to keep their heads above water, visits to the neighboring village can be arranged to learn about local culture, village life, and the community projects that Matemwe supports. Day trips can also be arranged to Stone Town, Jozani Forest, or Prison Island. For those interested in culinary pursuits, the lodge can arrange a Spice Tour to learn about the history of the spice trade and the variety of spices for which the island is famous.
DAY #12 - Zanzibar, Tanzania
Today you depart for your return journey, with VIP services at the airport with your Ker & Downey guide.
