Arrive in Arusha and overnight at Siringit Villa.

After breakfast visit the Ilboru School for the deaf and disabled – this school is supported by A&K Philanthropy and is one of the few schools in the country that is geared towards children with needs. Afterwards visit the K9 anti-poaching unit that works for the African Wildlife Foundation. This is a totally exclusive visit and can only be organized by Abercrombie & Kent Tanzania. You will learn what these incredible teams are doing to combat poaching in East Africa. After lunch explore the beautiful Kili Estate on horseback with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.

You will be collected in a private charter from the villas airstrip and fly to Tarangire National Park where you will be collected by the Forest Chem Chem driver. After a short game drive you will come across your bush lunch site in the middle of the park where you will be treated to a variety of dishes as you look out over the Baobab trees. After lunch you will make your way to Forest Chem Chem – a beautiful little camp on its own conservancy just outside the Tarangire National Park.

You will set out in the early morning to catch the wildlife in the park waking up or going to sleep. This is a beautiful time for photographs and the light in Africa is every photographers dream. The afternoon will be spent at the Masai Village. This is a very unique experience and different to many you may have heard about elsewhere in East Africa. Whilst you are here you can interact with the Masai as they go about their daily lives – learn how to make necklaces or the children can go out and see how the young boys heard their goats or participate in a little game of football. There will be no dancing unless there is a ceremony going on as this is not an orchestrated experience but one of true connection.

After breakfast you will be collected by helicopter and en joy a scenic flight over Lake Manyara National Park. On arrival you will drive down the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the village of Mto wa Mbu. This is a very different experience from the Masai Village as it is a gathering of several different tribes and will give you and your family a unique insight into the daily lives of villagers in Tanzania. Here you have a choice on how you would like to explore the village – either you can go around in a Rickshaw and travel like a local or you can head out on ATVs. You will explore the village and learn the various uses they have for the banana plant (including making gin and banana beer), meet the carvers that came up from Mozambique during the civil war and finally experience a local meal. After lunch you will drive across to Lake Manyara where you will jump into your kayaks and enjoy a game drive from the calm waters of the lake. As you are far more silent that you are in a vehicle you are able to get close up to the animals and observe them as they go about their daily lives. Once the day is over you will take your helicopter back to Forest Chem Chem for the night.

This morning you will have a last early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park before catching your private charter flight into the Serengeti National Park where you will be staying in the Four Seasons Private Villa. This property is perfectly located in one of the densest wildlife areas of the Serengeti.

This morning is an early start as you drive towards the balloon launch sight for your private balloon excursion with your family. As the balloon lifts off the first rays of sunshine will lighten the sky and illuminate the vastness of the Serengeti National Park below you – a truly breathtaking experience to share with your loved ones. On landing you will be greeted by a champagne bush breakfast in the middle of this vast wildlife area. Then make your way back to your villa for some rest and relaxation time over lunch and the best ‘armchair game viewing’ on offer. In the afternoon head out on foot with your ranger to see the smaller creatures of this incredible region.

Today you can have some time to relax in the morning before being picked up in your helicopter and flying to Lake Natron. This incredible lake has an extremely high sodium content and is the breeding ground for the Lesser Flamingoes who have been awarded the ‘near threatened’ status due to this limited breeding area. A flight over the lake affords the most incredible photographs and is a sight rarely seen by visitors to Tanzania. Lunch will be on the lakeshore before flying back to the Serengeti for the night.

After breakfast you will be collected by your private charter aircraft and flown to Mafia Island. On the way you will do a scenic flight over Mount Kilimanjaro – this is an extraordinary experience and will allow you and your family to see the highest point of Africa and the surrounding landscape in all its glory. Once you have circled the mountain you will fly to Mafia Island. On arrival you will be collected in your private helicopter and transferred to Thanda Island – a private island in the Indian Ocean just for you and your family.

The next three days are to be spent as you wish – head out onto the Indian Ocean with the kids for a spot of catch and release deep sea fishing, learn to dive with the teachers on the island or just relax in the pool and on the beach with a good book in hand.

Fly to Dar es Salaam in your helicopter in time to catch your international flight home.
